Race Overview

In remembrance of Ruby, who enjoyed adventuring at NorthGate. Ruby was an adventurous little dachshund who passed away in August 2024. It would take Ruby 100,000 steps to run 5kms. How far could you go?

Ruby’s 5K Fun Run is a funraiser for NorthGate Trail Head Maintenance, and aims to encourage nighttime trail running & hiking.

The registration deadline is 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025.
Onsite registration is available at the event for $40.

Rules and What To Expect

What to Expect

Using headlamps and flashlights, we will light up the trails. All dogs on leashes are welcome to join. The weather will be mild fall to early winter conditions. The trail could be dry to snow covered.
