Manitoba Snowshoe Run

February 20 2023 "Louis Riel Day"

Come join us February 20 2023 "Louis Riel Day" on the shores of Riding Mountain National Parks Clear Lake in Wasagaming Mb!!! The new and improved Manitoba Snowshoe Run is a not-for-profit fundraising event designed to test your limits and keep you active this winter. All race day participants will have a 5 or 10km option and will receive some great race day swag, and snacks. Don't worry, if you can't make the event we challenge you to try the virtual event held all February 2023. 

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Anyone can run, but children under 12 need an adult with them.

WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE?

This race includes a 5 km run/walk and a 10 km run through snowshoe tracks.

WHERE IS IT?

Registration will be inside the Visitor Center, Wasagaming Drive, Wasagaming, Manitoba.  Race start line is behind the visitor center.  Or you can run our virtual event in the location of your choice.  

WHEN DOES IT START?

Registration opens 9 am at the Visitor Center in Wasagaming Mb on Wasagaming Dr.  Race starts 10 am behind the Visitor Center. 

WHY?

To promote physical activity and getting healthy in a fun way.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Early bird registration is $65 for the 5km and $75 for the 10km.  Registration goes up $10 on January 1st 2023.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Snowshoes, change of clothes, running shoes or light hiker, long tights or waterproof/breathable tights, Gators, base- mid-light layer jacket, gloves, sunglasses, water bottle.  * Make sure you layer, you will be cold at the start line, but will heat up as soon as you go.

WHAT'S THE TERRAIN LIKE?

The trail has some slight climbs and you will be racing on top of a frozen lake.

You will need a park pass to park inside Riding Mountain National Park.
