Starting at Beach Ridges trail in Riding Mountain National Park (north end) the group will complete Crawford Creek, Boreal, Moon Lake and Bead Lakes along Hwy#10 up until Spruces Picnic area where the participants will run to the Clear Lake Beach. This set of trails once all completed will have participants cover a 26.2 Mile Marathon distance. Participants will have to provide their own transportation between trailheads until Spruces Picnic area where the participants will run to the Clear Lake Beach. There will be an incentive to car pool and we will help coordinate this part for you.
If you register for this race you will be running all of the Trails listed in Race Option #1, with the exception of the final stretch from Spruces Picnic area to the Clear Lake Beach. This set of trails once all completed will have participants cover an approximate 17.3 mile or 27.9 km distance.
All Participants draw rocks at the start of each trail to determine which runners are headed clockwise and which are headed counter-clockwise. We will be scoring by finisher placing on each trail. The lowest combined scores win bragging rights and the satisfaction of knowing that they are well suited to the adventurous and physically arduous lifestyle of the original “Coureur des Bois”
Registration gets you a spot in the race, as many trails as you can handle, a medal if you complete your race and some swag.
Coureur Des Bois is a self-supported event so runners need to bring enough fluid and fuel to sustain them for the whole day and have the ability to carry enough fluids and fuel to get them back to their vehicle at each trailhead.
Registration will be capped so register early. NO REFUNDS.
